Collision insurance claims in Portland, handled.
A claim should not be the hard part. In Oregon you pick the shop, not your insurer. We work with every carrier and take the back-and-forth off your plate.
Just had an accident in Portland? Whether you need full collision repair, bumper work, or a simple dent and panel fix, our Southeast Portland shop handles every insurance claim from first estimate to final delivery.
Here is the part most drivers do not know: Oregon is a free-choice state. Your insurer can recommend a preferred or direct-repair shop, but it cannot require you to use one. Where your car gets fixed is your decision, and choosing your own shop does not raise what you pay. You still owe your deductible and the carrier covers the rest of the approved repair.
We work with every carrier, including State Farm, GEICO, Allstate, Farmers, Progressive, and USAA, and we deal with the adjuster directly so the paperwork lands on us, not you. We are European and exotic specialists, all makes welcome. See how we work on our repair process page, then start your free estimate.

What we do with your claim.
From the first estimate to the keys back in your hand.
- Any carrier, your choice
- It is your decision where your car gets repaired. Whoever you are insured with, we work with them, and you can choose us.
- A free, written estimate
- Free computerized estimating gets your claim started with a clear, written number, not a guess. Send photos to begin remotely.
- We handle the paperwork
- We work directly with your adjuster on the estimate, supplements, and approvals, so you are not stuck playing middleman between the shop and the insurer.
- Supplements filed for you
- When we open the car up and find damage the first estimate missed, we document it and file the supplement with your adjuster, then repair it right.
- Rental sorted
- Rental-car assistance keeps you on the road while your car is with us. We help line it up with your carrier so there is no gap.
- Repaired to fit the car
- European, exotic, or daily driver, the repair matches the vehicle. Factory color match and structural work done to the standard the car was built to.

Insurance claim questions, answered.
The questions Portland drivers ask us most after an accident.
No. Oregon is a free-choice state, so where your car gets repaired is your decision, not the insurer's. A carrier can suggest a preferred or direct-repair shop, but a suggestion is all it is. You can choose Alpina and we will work with your carrier from there.
Call us or send a few photos and we will put together a free written estimate. From there we work directly with your adjuster, so the back-and-forth lands on us, not you. You do not have to get the insurer involved before you talk to us.
That is common and it is normal. When we open the car up and find damage the first estimate did not catch, we document it and file a supplement with your adjuster directly. We repair the car correctly and let the paperwork follow, rather than cutting the repair to match an early number.
Yes. We work with your adjuster on the estimate, any supplements, and the approvals, so you are not stuck playing middleman between the shop and the insurer. Your job is to drop the car off and pick it back up.
We do not want you stranded. Rental-car assistance keeps you moving while your car is with us, and we will help you line it up with your carrier so there is no gap in coverage.
Almost certainly. We work with every carrier, including State Farm, GEICO, Allstate, Farmers, Progressive, USAA, and the rest. You do not need a direct-repair relationship for us to handle your claim.
No. Oregon does not require you to collect multiple estimates, and your insurer cannot force you to. One written estimate from the shop you choose is enough to open the claim. If you want a second opinion you are welcome to it, but it is not a requirement.
Not necessarily. A direct-repair shop agrees to the insurer's pricing, which can mean faster sign-off but tighter repair limits. Choosing your own shop does not raise your out-of-pocket cost: you still pay your deductible and the carrier pays the rest of the approved repair. The difference is who the shop answers to.
Bring it in either way. We write the estimate the same way and work with whichever carrier is paying, whether that is your collision coverage, the other driver's liability, or uninsured-motorist coverage. We document the damage thoroughly so the claim reflects the full repair.
It depends on your policy and the age of the car. Some policies call for aftermarket or recycled parts, others for OEM. We tell you what the estimate specifies before work starts, and if you want OEM parts where the policy allows for less, we will note that for your adjuster.
